What is experience design

Service design (or experience design) is all about learning about people, and building solutions, services or products that they desire.

  1. Make sure you understand your problem statement and how that relates to your customers needs.
  2. Speak with your customers – ask them why they do the things they do (behaviours), conduct interviews to find out what motivates them (fears and desires) and immerse yourself in their lives and communities (learn about why they make decisions).
  3. Create prototypes and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to prioritise the functionality – NOT the visual design, colour or style.
